“Will you marry me?”

Surprise! I’m engaged, and couldn’t be happier. Things are going incredibly well between Victoria (Edna) and I now that we’re back together. I took a bit of thought, and a few days ago ordered a ring. When she came over, I had the ring cleverly sitting around the power button on my laptop which I was working on. I shrugged it off saying it’s just a promise ring, and we went about the rest of our day.

We went out to a movie with Steve, my roommate, best friend, and some day in the next year or so best man, and then went to dinner. After the night was over, Victoria and I were cuddled up on my bed just talking, and during a lull in the conversation I whispered in her ear, “The ring I gave you is much much more than a promise ring. Will you marry me?”

I got quite a response there, at first she was just speechless, but then the best thing I’ve heard in my life came out.

She said, “Yes!”
